In a world of competing demands we must have some way of prioritising. This is true in our own lives, our personal finances and in public policy. We expect our doctors to prioritise those most in need of care, and so similarly we all expect the police to prioritise as well.
The Home Office has announced that the Thames Valley Police & Crime Commissioner has been awarded more than £970,000 in extra funding following a successful bid to the Government’s £25 million Safer Streets Fund – delivering on a key Conservative manifesto commitment.
Anthony Stansfeld, Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, said: "The latest figures from the Government show that we are on track to meet the promised numbers of police officer uplift in the Thames Valley.
