Home Office confirms extra funding for Thames Valley

This year, Thames Valley Police has policed a number of internationally significant events, including the wedding of Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in May and the visit from The President of the United States in July.

Early this morning (21/11) Thames Valley Police led a series of raids that saw 250 officers targeting 10 locations making arrests and searching properties.

Op Sceptre - Knives surrendered as part of national week of action

As part of the national week long campaign that ran from Tuesday 18 September to Monday 24 September, knife surrender bins were placed into 16 police stations across the Thames Valley. This was to prevent unwanted knives from finding their way onto the streets.

Thames Valley Police Chief Constable Francis Habgood has today (16/10) announced that he is to retire.

He will retire from his role as Chief Constable at the end of March 2019, after four years in the post, 15 years within the force and more than 32 years in the police service.

Policing the second Royal Wedding in six months

Yesterday (12/10) thousands of people lined the streets of Windsor to celebrate the wedding of Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank.

Months of hard work went into planning the police operation and together with partners we delivered a safe and secure day for all.
