Abingdon pays tribute

Friday, 24 May, 2013

Today Abingdon-on-Thames will pay tribute to the brave men and women of 12 Logistic Support Regiment who are returning from Afghanistan. Given the events of this week it is more important than ever that we show our support for the troops. The town has long held the units stationed at Dalton Barracks in high esteem and greatly respects their bravery and professionalism. The people of Abingdon will be delighted to welcome them back at their homecoming parade today, when they will exercise their Freedom of the Town of Abingdon in the presence of their Colonel in Chief, Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal.
