The bin problems in the Vale have persisted into the new year. The photos shown here are an example of the mess that remains in the first week of 2011. Of course the problem began with the snow, but the past month has shown the inherent weakness of a fortnightly scheme, I fear the same problem will happen again in late April, early May when we have four bank holidays within eleven days. Or perhaps the election the following week will focus the minds of the Lib Dems to pay a little more attention to people's needs this time!
