Yesterday's County Council elections resulted in a ringing endorsement of the Conservative administration at County Hall. The Conservative majority on Oxfordshire County Council increased from 14 to 30. Hard working Conservative candidates were rewarded in Abingdon, Didcot, Banbury, Wootton and Kennington, gaining seats from Labour and Lib Dems. A fantastic endorsement for the Conservatives who have worked over the last four years to improve local services whilst keeping Council Tax as low as possible. The results look good for the General Election in Oxford West & Abingdon where Nicola Blackwood looks set to push aside the beleaguered Evan Harris, and for the Vale, being the only rural district in the County not currently to have a Conservative administration.
