Our offices are closed from 3pm on Friday 23 December and will reopen for business as usual on Tuesday 3 January.
Here are details of changes to our services that remain in operation over Christmas:
Waste and recycling collections
Our waste and recycling collections will take place over Christmas and into the new year but your collections may happen on a different day to the rest of the year – please check our revised collection days for details. You can also find advice on what to do with your Christmas waste.
Leisure Centres
Our leisure centres will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. Please check the Better website for details of opening hours throughout the rest of the holiday period.
Severe Weather
For advice on what to do in the event of flooding, snow and high winds (including power cuts) please check our severe weather page.
Other emergencies
Our emergency helpline on 01235 422420 is available to assist with serious noise problems, dangerous structure, flooding, a dead animal on the highway or if you are in danger of becoming homeless. We can also collect stray dogs.
Planning applications
Any new planning applications we receive after midday on Friday 23 December will be dated as received on the 3 January. For major applications, the cut-off is midday on Thursday 22 December
