The other interesting development at last night's planning meeting in Abingdon was the faux anger of Wantage councillor Jenny Hannaby. She was bemoaning the absence of a Section 106 officer at the council to secure money from planning applications. This can fund projects such as play areas and public art. Perhaps Cllr Hannaby suffers from a short memory. Perhaps she has forgotten that she is a member of the Lib Dem Executive who failed to recruit someone to fill the post and this year voted to remove the money for the S106 from the budget!
