Fence for Marlborough Gardens play area

Friday, 7 August, 2009

There is at least one silver lining to the planning application for 11 affordable housing unit at the edge of town, just off the Coxwell Road.Having spoken and voted against the proposal at a recent Vale committee, Iwas included on the delegation to finalise the planning permission. There isa legal agreement between the Council and the developers which should ensurethat a safety fence can be built around the Marlborough Gardens play area. There is no timescale for the development yet, and it is be dependent on thebuilding of the houses, but the fencing which has been on Faringdon's wishlist for a long time seems a little closer!
