Vale4Business are holding a series of free business advice workshops, with the aim to nurture and support entrepreneurs in the Vale. The workshops will give a comprehensive overview of the different elements that go into starting a business from scratch - from an idea through to pitching, how to plan your business and marketing to your customers. The first workshop is Finance and Funding - 29 July 2014 Run by Leo Dunne, SME funding specialist and business mentor, the workshop will give businesses and entrepreneurs an insight into how funders think, what the trends and current environment are and what options are available to you. If you want to start or grow a business and need to raise cash – and want to know why lenders say yes or no – then this is the workshop for you. During the afternoon there will also be a drop-in Finance and Funding Surgery. This will be run by start-up accountancy specialists Inca, lending and relationship managers from Natwest and Leo Dunne. The surgery will provide a wide breadth of knowledge on all things financial, allowing entrepreneurs and businesspeople the opportunity to discuss individual issues that affect their businesses. By the end of the day, the delegates will have an understanding of the different types of funding that are available, what you need to do to attract this funding, and how you should consider meeting any funding needs you have as part of your overall plans for your business.
