If your children are looking for new and exciting things to do this summer then why not check out the South and Vale Summer Holiday Progamme.
Starting on Monday 28 July, there’s a whole month of sports and arts activities available for those aged between five and 18 years old living in South Oxfordshire or the Vale of White Horse.
All activities are led by qualified coaches, with this year’s line up including athletics, archery, creative arts, falconry, fencing, golf, hockey, horse riding, kayaking, netball, orienteering, rugby, sailing, a "strictly kids" dance class, table tennis, taekwando, tennis, and trampolining.
Bookings are now open, and with some activities such as sailing always filling up very quickly people are advised to reserve places as soon as possible.
To see the full selection of activities, and to make a booking, please visit or www.southoxon.gov.uk/holidays (South Oxfordshire residents) or www.whitehorsedc.gov.uk/holidays (Vale residents).
Cllr Matthew Barber, Leader of Vale of White Horse District Council, said: “Our summer holiday programme offers a great selection of activities for young people to try. Many of the courses are very popular so please ensure you make your bookings as soon as possible.”
“While being great fun for the kids the summer holidays can be a bit of a test for parents who have to find things to keep their children occupied. Hopefully the activities we have on offer will make things that little bit easier and affordable this summer.”
