Wednesday, 16 November, 2011

As promised in the election the Conservative-led Vale of White Horse District Council is introducing 2hr free parking. After a lengthy consultation period it will be introduced in all Vale car parks on Friday 9th December, just in time for Christmas. There will be a launch event in Wantage on Saturday 10th December with Ed Vaizey MP. Not only will we be launching the free car parking, but also Wantage's new loyalty card scheme, and the switch on of free wi-fi in the town centre. Wantage is leading the way by acting as the pilot town for free wi-fi. If successful the scheme will be rolled out in Faringdon, Abingdon, Botley and eventually Grove.
