Less than a week to register for a postal vote

Friday, 8 April, 2011

5pm next Thursday (14th April) is the last date to register for a postal vote for this May's elections. You can ask for a postal vote for both the local elections and the AV referendum. The Council will be sending out the postal ballot packs on Monday 18th April, first class post, so they should arrive from 19th April onwards. If you're going to be away when the postal votes are sent out you can apply for a proxy vote instead and ask someone else to vote on your behalf. Applications for proxy votes don't need to be in until 5pm on 21st April. You can download a form to apply for either a postal or a proxy vote by clicking here.
