Keep an eye out for your yellow letter then confirm or change your details online

People across the Vale of White Horse are being urged to keep an eye out for a yellow letter which is being sent to every household across the district in the coming days. The letter explains that residents are required to confirm who currently lives in their property. Vale of White Horse District Council needs this information to make sure everyone who is eligible to vote is able to do so in future elections. As soon as people get their yellow letter they should visit www.householdresponse.com/southandvale to confirm their details are correct or, if not, provide the correct information. Important - each household must confirm their details, even if they are correct. yellow letter south By confirming their details immediately residents will avoid receiving any reminder letters over the coming months. If a household then doesn’t respond the council will try to contact them by telephone, and may visit some properties this Autumn to confirm their details. Residents who do not have access to the internet will be able to confirm their details by completing and returning the form that comes with the letter. People whose details are correct also have the option of confirming their details by phone or text – the details required for this are included on the yellow letter. Councillor Matthew Barber, Leader of Vale of White Horse District Council, said: “As soon as you get your yellow letter please confirm your details. You need to do this even if all the information is correct, and if you respond immediately you will avoid receiving reminder letters, a phone call or even a visit to your property. The easiest way to confirm your details is by doing it online, it really is very quick and easy to do.”
