The news of John Gillman's arrest has hit the national news, appearing intoday's Daily Telegraph http://tinyurl.com/39r3lw5. It appears that he hasbeen released on police bail and I hope that everyone remembers that we areall innocent until proven guilty, something that is often very difficult ina small community such as ours. The events of the last week have troubledmany people in the town and rightly so. Thankfully whatever happened lastSunday, and whoever is responsible, it does seem that this is an isolatedincident, and we should be thankful that Faringdon and the Vale of WhiteHorse as a whole is a generally very peaceful place to live.
