Vale of White Horse District Council is asking people to comment on a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) for Botley which will assist the redevelopment and enhancement of the centre, and set out guidance on the type (for example shops, offices, houses public open space etc) and scale of development that would be appropriate. The Supplementary Planning Document will be a huge benefit to everybody involved in the potential redevelopment of the Botley centre and ensure that the local community has an influence over the future development of the area. The SPD will have material weight in the determination of future development proposals for the centre. It will set a framework for high quality urban design principles, land uses, transport and viability to ensure that current and future needs are accommodated sustainably.
