Help is finally at hand for motorists who find that they don’t have the change available to pay to park. You will now be able to pay using your phone in all of the Vale's district council car parks. Following a successful trial earlier this year in Abingdon it has been decided to roll out the new cashless payment system to all district council car parks in Vale of White Horse. South Oxfordshire District Council is also following suit. Motorists will be able to pay to park by using RingGo, which allows you to pay via a smart phone app, by text message, telephone or on the RingGo website. RingGo is now available in all district council car parks in Abingdon Faringdon and Wantage. To find out more about the RingGo parking scheme please visit the RingGo website. Cllr Matthew Barber, Leader of the Council, said: “The new system is very easy to use and will mean that motorists no longer have to worry about carrying change with them if they are intending to come to one of our car parks.” For more information about district council car parks please visit www.whitehorsedc.gov.uk/parking.
