Rural Crime Barn event in Milton Keynes

On Wednesday (27/4), Matthew Barber joined the North Neighbourhood Policing Team for Milton Keynes at the second of their Rural Crime Barn events for farmers, gamekeepers and landowners.

The event, aimed at building strong community resilience, was attended by various organisations offering support and crime prevention advice to farmers in rural communities.

Opened by LPA Commander Supt Marc Tarbit, Sgt Sam Pearce talked about the local Neighbourhood Police Team (Police Officers & PCSO 's) and their role supporting the rural community.

Inspector Stuart Hutchings gave a presentation on the new Rural Crime Tasking Team, and how this dedicated rural unit tackles rural crime across Thames Valley.

A number of short presentations were also given on flytipping, hare coursing, unauthorised encampments, and cesar marking to protect farm machinery and equipment by the CLA, DataTag.
