At 8.23am the Environment Agency issues a flood alert due to possible flooding from the Ginge Brook. There was 33m (about 1 1/4 inches in Church of England) recorded in Oxford and Bicester overnight and there has been an amount of traffic disruption today caused by the surface water. In Steventon the Environment Agency are investigating reports that three properties have been affected. The Environment Agency are able to provide a flood warning service from river flooding to Steventon residents, which they can sign up for on our website at http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/homeandleisure/floods/38289.aspx. I would encourage everyone living at flood risk to keep a close eye on weather forecasts.
