Supercharging local communities with Virgin Media

Wednesday, 23 March, 2016

Residents and businesses in the Vale can register their support for ultrafast broadband in order to benefit from investment as part of Virgin Media’s ‘Supercharging Local Communities’ initiative. This UK-wide search for local communities will see the top ten communities recording the highest level of demand on Virgin Media’s dedicated website (virginmedia.com/cablemystreet) enabled for ultrafast speeds (200Mbps for residents, 300Mbps for small businesses) this year, with more to follow in 2017. Marcham, Shrivenham, Sutton Courtenay and Watchfield have been picked as part of Virgin Media’s expansion plans to potentially benefit from ultrafast broadband and would encourage all residents and businesses who want better connectivity to register. The decision on the first ten UK communities to benefit from ultrafast broadband will be made in May 2016.
