Vale resident's victims of waste scam

Wednesday, 3 November, 2010

Vale residents who have already suffered from the problems of the waste roll out now seem to be victims of a bazaar scam. Residents in the Wantage area have received a letter claiming to come from the Vale of White Horse District Council accusing them of failing to comply with the new waste service. The letter warns them that their property may be removed from collection list or that they may be fined. The Vale of White Horse District Council is advising residents that this letter is completely false. If you receive a similar letter please let the council know straight away on 01235 520202.
