Well done Oxfordshire County Council

Tuesday, 14 December, 2010

I don't think we acknowledge often enough when things go right, and too often people quite happily moan about problems without doing anything. Last Wednesday I hit a pot hole on the way to work. Not surprising considering the cold weather. The next morning (Thursday) I reported it to Oxfordshire Highways via the County Council website. The same day I received a response saying that someone had visited and marked it for repair. By yesterday (Monday) it had been filled in. Pretty good service I say. The moral of the story is report it! If an authority/agency doesn't know there's a problem it can't fix it. If in doubt who's responsible there is and excellent website I've recommended before www.fixmystreet.com.
