Thames Valley Police & Criminal Justice Plan 2021-2025

After being elected in May 2021, Matthew Barber formally published his Police & Criminal Justice Plan the following month, June 2021.

Unanimously endorsed by the Thames Valley Police & Crime Panel, the Plan sets out five broad strategic priorities to get tough on crime for safer communities...

Strong local policing

Recruiting more police officers, supporting neighbourhood policing and focussing on driving down the crimes that matter most to the public.

Fighting serious organised crime

Cracking down on the threat from "county lines" drugs gangs to protect children from exploitation and abuse.

Fighting cybercrime and fraud

Crime is changing and I will invest in the technology and resources the police need to protect the public online.

Improving the criminal justice system

Supporting victims of crime, bringing more criminals to justice and reducing reoffending.

Tackling illegal encampments

Ensuring a fair but firm response to illegal encampments and reducing the effect on our communities.

£100,000 Community Fund opens to support local groups

Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), Matthew Barber, is today launching a £100,000 fund to support community groups across the Thames Valley.

The Community Fund is intended to support voluntary and community groups that help to prevent crime and keep communities safe.
